Chula Vista: I-805 Crash 05082024

The female driver of the red SUV was driving southbound on the I-805 with her 3-year-old daughter. She was attempting to merge from the #4 lane to the #5 lane when her rear right side struck the front left side of a Medical Transport van.

She then lost control and slammed into the right shoulder wall. The SUV ended back into the #4 & #5 lanes. The Van's driver was not injured, and he did not have anyone else in the van
.
The woman and her daughter were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Traffic was slowed and backed up to the north around J St. for approximately 1 hour.
